Chronic graft-versus-host disease (GVHD) is a severe adverse reaction after allogeneic hematopoietic cell transplantation that decreases quality of life and is a major cause of death. In July 2021, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration approved belumosudil (Rezurock^TM) as a third-line treatment option for chronic GVHD.
