It’s just 43 days, 22 hours, 16 minutes, and 5 seconds until the start of ONS Congress® or at least it is according to the countdown clock on the ONS Congress webpage on the day I write this. That length of time may feel like an eternity, but it will fly by!
This is the perfect opportunity to start planning your schedule for ONS Congress. Regardless of your specific learning goals, you have plenty of topics to choose from, so you will benefit from taking a moment to build your unique conference experience.
At first glance, the conference schedule may appear quite complex; however, for easier navigation, I encourage you to begin with the underlying framework. Sessions are generally divided into one of five focused tracks: Clinical Practice, Advanced Practice, Leadership/Management/Education, Radiation, and Research.
There are also certain sessions that stand-alone, meaning no other sessions are offered concurrently. These Power sessions are presented unopposed because they are the must-see sessions at ONS Congress. In addition to Opening and Closing ceremonies, you’ll find a variety of noteworthy Power sessions scheduled throughout the conference designed to appeal to the entire spectrum of attendees.
As you work your way through the dozens of sessions from which you may choose, be sure to leave room for ONS Learning Hall Activities and Industry-Supported events offered throughout the conference. Don’t forget to investigate whether nursing continuing professional development (NCPD) contact hours are offered or a separate registration is required.
Each time you find a session that interests you, click on the small plus (+) sign to add it to your personal schedule. You can print your personal schedule or download the conference app to view it on your device. A hard copy of the schedule (minus your customizations) will be available in the Conference Guide included in your registration bag.
