The 47th Annual ONS Congress® Is Back in Person! Here's What You Need to Know
Nurses are on the front lines of a global health emergency, riding the ebb and flow of uncertainty. We’ve struggled, lost, grieved, lifted up one another, and went inward to uncover strength we never thought we would need. Although we’ve longed to be together, we’ve experienced events and gatherings from behind a screen for the past two years.
Now is the time to reconnect in person for our signature conference. The 47th Annual ONS Congress, held April 27–May 1, 2022, at the Anaheim Convention Center in California, is an opportunity to meet up with nursing colleagues from across the United States, rejuvenate through well-being activities, and earn approximately 25.5 contact hours toward nursing continuing professional development (NCPD).

Prioritizing Health and Safety
We know how excited everyone is to reconnect face to face. However, the health and safety of all attendees, exhibitors, and staff is our highest priority. We have a dedicated webpage for the ONS Congress Covid-19 Health & Safety Policy, which will be updated as needed leading up to the event. The Oncology Nursing Society requires that any person attending ONS Congress (whether as an attendee or on behalf of an exhibitor, sponsor, or service provider, or otherwise) follow all federal, state, and local laws and regulations, the rules and policies of the Anaheim Convention Center, as well as all guidance and recommendations from applicable public health authorities, which includes but is not limited to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the World Health Organization, and the California Department of Public Health and Orange County Health Care Agency.
Currently, California requires proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test within 72 hours for meetings with 1000+ people. More information will be forthcoming about this requirement because at this time, individuals cannot self-attest as to vaccination status or negative test results.
What to Expect
We understand the challenges that nurses have faced during the past two years. That’s why this year’s ONS Congress prioritizes nurse well-being. Attendees can enjoy self-care and wellness pavilions, offering aromatherapy, cannabidiol- (CBD-) infused ice cream, and more.
In addition to sessions on latest technologies, new therapies, and patient advocacy initiatives, this year’s event also offers power sessions on timely topics like COVID-19 and fertility in cancer care. Registration opens on November 1, 2021, with early-bird pricing through March 10, 2022. In addition to access to the full in-person event, registrants will also have on-demand access to all educational sessions for a limited time after the conference ends, so you can continue to earn more NCPD at your own convenience and pace.
