Oncology Nursing Has Many Voices but One Common Mission

ONS Congress® is the convocation of a diverse group of nurses and specialties with a common mission of advancing and transforming cancer care. Previous ONS Congress themes have described the content nurses can expect from the conference each year. But the 47th annual ONS Congress theme approaches it a bit differently: Many Voices. Common Mission exemplifies the event itself.

Many Voices

As the largest, most comprehensive oncology nursing conference in the United States, ONS Congress is your opportunity to learn from expert voices in oncology, gain the clinical knowledge to advance the future of cancer care, and connect with nurses across the country.

No matter your learning style or practice setting, ONS Congress has the sessions to highlight and strengthen your unique voice. Educational tracks range from clinical practice to research and everywhere in between, and you’re welcome to attend any session in any track regardless of your specific practice setting.

ONS Congress offers various learning opportunities, including ePosters, oral abstract presentations, and educational sessions led by a diverse group of expert speakers. In total, attendees can earn up to 25.5 nursing continuing professional development contact hours while gaining knowledge and perspective from oncology clinicians across the care continuum. So browse the available sessions and plan your ONS Congress experience.

“I learn a lot from hearing how other people do things and, as much as I like to think I know the best, I don’t,” ONS member Moe Schwartz, PharmD, BCOP, said. “I will change in a minute if it’s going to be something better for a patient.”

Common Mission

No matter your practice setting or subspecialty, all oncology nurses share the common mission of advocating for patients and providing the best possible care. And that’s the collective bond, the thread weaving together all of ONS Congress’s offerings.

Explore the interactive learning hall, which highlights innovative treatments, symptom management knowledge, and patient resources that support our common mission. Connect with hundreds of exhibitors who are leaders in cancer care, attend the career fair where you can identify new professional opportunities, and visit the new and improved wellness pavilion to take care of yourself.

ONS is committed to helping all nurses, including you, become your best, whether your primary role is advancing nursing research, advocating for patient-centered legislation, or serving at the bedside. Join us at ONS Congress to celebrate all the accomplishments oncology nursing has made and gain the clinical knowledge and professional support to further your mission.

“I am so thrilled to spend my nursing journey with amazing nurses who support my mission to deliver culturally competent, evidence-based care and practice,” ONS member Catherine Concert, DNP, RN, FNP-BC, AOCNP®, said.

Registration is now open! Join us to listen, converse with, and experience the many diverse voices in oncology nursing.
