Congress- What do expect.

ONS Congress is back in person, and you do not want to miss it. While we have made the best of learning virtually for the past two years and will continue to offer our virtual conference, ONS Bridge™, moving forward, for many, it does not compare to the excitement and energy of seeing thousands of oncology nurses gather in one place to learn, share, network, and just have some good old fun. No one can deny that this pandemic has taken an emotional and physical toll on all of us. The 47th Annual ONS Congress is a fantastic opportunity to focus on you and rekindle the spark that triggers your passion for learning, sharing, and giving back to yourself.

Something new and exciting at ONS Congress 2022 is the Zen Den, an expanded wellness pavilion, that will offer opportunities to de-stress through creative outlets, feel-good activities, and cuddly friends. The Oncology Nursing Foundation/Pfizer Oncology Fun Run/Walk & Wheelchair event is another way to let off steam and support a great cause, our profession. Follow that with Self-Care Saturday Night, an attendee reception featuring a spa-like atmosphere where you can mingle with friends old and new, feel rejuvenated, and nurture your soul.

There are also sessions that cater to your self-care and understanding your personal and professional goals as oncology nurses. One session that you do not want to miss is “Enhancing Nurse Well-Being by Promoting and Fostering Vicarious Resiliency.” This session will provide positive personal growth by channeling patient or organizational trauma with the goal of recognizing good that you instill in others and appreciating your life experiences.

Other session topics that will pique the interest of both a novice nurse and one that has experience under their belt include how to communicate sensitive topics, understanding fertility preservation, symptom science, deciphering the specialty of radiation, and how to retain our nurses. That is the unique factor about ONS Congress, there is something for everybody in every aspect of oncology care that we hope will spark that enthusiasm that we need right about now.

We are many voices with a common mission, let's gather and share that mission of advancing excellence in oncology nursing and quality cancer care to our patients, families, and, most of all, to ourselves. Register today.
